Pata, (Tomoaki Ishizuka) was born on November 4th 1965. His claim to fame comes from being the Rhythm guitarist for the wildly successful Japanese rock band X (Japan). While it is true that members of this band such as Yoshiki and hide often stole the limelight; Pata, being a laid back kind of person, never really seemed to be bothered much by this. Like the other members of X Japan he took time to release some solo work including a self title album in 1993 and a second album entitled Raised on Rock (1995). He then later formed the band P.A.F. with the musicians who had worked with him on his previous solo work.
As with all things X Japan eventually disbanded in 1997. Pata did not leave the music industry but instead formed a second group called Dope Headz (2001) Which featured D.I.E and fellow ex-X Japan bassist Heath. This band release 2 albums Primitive Impulse (2001) and Planet of the Dope(2002) plus 2 singles Glow and True lies.
Currently Pata is working with his latest group Ra:In (pronounced "rah'een"). They released their first The Line album in 2003. They released their third album "Metal box" On April 9th of this year. (2008).
In 2008 he reunited with his fellow X Japan members for a new single release, I.V. which was used in the film Saw IV. The band has also done a three consecuitve concert string at Tokyo Dome with plans to play in Paris, France and NYC later in the year.
